Noak Bridge Pre-school, Breakfast and Afterschool Club, and Out of School Clubs are seeking an enthusiastic qualified Early Years Practitioner with a minimum Level 3 qualification to join our team.

We are a longstanding community pre-school in Noak Bridge Village, a non-profit charity governed by a parent volunteer committee. We provide childcare for Noak Bridge and surrounding areas, including Laindon, Basildon, Wickford, and Billericay. Childcare services include breakfast and afterschool clubs, pre-school sessions, and holiday camps, located within Noak Bridge Primary School grounds. You will become an integral part of a dedicated team.

This is a full-time, year-round position, working 35 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.

The preschool operates from 7 am to 6 pm, and holiday camps run from 9 am to 4 pm during non-term times, with hours coordinated to suit. The setting is open 49 weeks annually.

Role Requirements

1. This role requires flexibility and adaptability in duties, which are not exhaustively listed.
2. Full and relevant Early Years qualification - minimum Level 3.
3. Comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework.
4. Awareness of Ofsted inspection standards.
5. Experience working with young children and in team settings.
6. Safeguarding training, including knowledge of child protection procedures.
7. Understanding of play-based learning approaches.
8. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
9. Commitment to working effectively with children and families.
10. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
11. Understanding of equal opportunities legislation.
12. Willingness to undertake further training.
13. Leadership experience and staff management skills.
14. Knowledge of child development from birth to five years.
15. Paediatric first aid certification.
16. Satisfactory DBS check.
17. Higher Early Years qualification or willingness to study for one.
