Job summary

Rosedene Nurseries Ltd is seeking a caring and enthusiastic early years nursery practitioner to join our Northallerton team in North Yorkshire. We offer a supportive, award-winning environment that invests in staff development and celebrates success.

We welcome applicants with full or part-time availability. The role involves supervising children, creating engaging activities, promoting hygiene and building strong relationships with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children's development.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Interest in outdoor learning and child-led approaches.
• Ability to build relationships with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children within the nursery environment, including meals, rest periods and nappy changes.
• Creating fun and engaging activities to suit children’s needs.
• Promoting good hygiene practices.
• Building solid, caring relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Keeping accurate records and communicating with families.
• Supporting teammates and modelling positive changes.
• Leading the room in the absence of the room leader.
• Attending staff meetings and training to develop professionally.
• Monitoring and recording all accidents.
• Adhering to nursery procedures and policies.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising children within the nursery environment, including mealtimes, rest periods and nappy changing/toileting
• Creating fun and engaging activities to suit the needs of the children
• Promote good hygiene practices
• Building solid, caring relationships with parents/carers, families, professionals and your team
• Keeping accurate records and communicating with parents/carers
• Supporting your team members and being a positive role model, who looks to develop and suggest positive changes
• Leading the room in the absence of the room leader
• Attend staff meetings or any training courses that will help enhance your personal and professional development
• Monitor and record all accidents
• Adhering to and implement all nursery procedures and policies

What we're looking for

• Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification

Working Hours

Part time and full time positions available Monday to Friday.
