Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) Nurseries is seeking passionate early years staff to provide high-quality childcare for families of Leeds NHS staff. You will work in a warm, dedicated team with varied shift patterns and a guaranteed day off each week to support work-life balance.

Role involves maintaining records, supporting play planning using EYFS, and ensuring parents receive daily feedback while collaborating with the management team to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to updating records of achievements (profiles, observations, care plans) to support the individual needs of the children/families.
  • Assist the management team to develop, implement and evaluate play and planning using the EYFS for the individual child and family.
  • Support the nursery team and management team in the delivery of the service and the development of quality care.
  • Assist in settling-in programme to meet the child/family's individual needs including first contact with the parent or carer.
  • Assist in communicating nursery routines and procedures with new parents.
  • Observe, collate, present and record developmental milestones for children's profiles.
  • Ensure each family receives daily positive feedback; report concerns or family issues to appropriate manager.
