Job summary

WMC Training in Twickenham (TW1) is seeking candidates for an LV3 Early Years Apprenticeship to support a SEN child and develop essential nursery skills. This role focuses on care, play, and early learning within the Eyfs framework.

You will work with children aged 0–5, contributing to daily care, wellbeing, observation and activity planning while pursuing formal childcare qualifications and training support.

Qualifications

• Must have prior nursery experience.
• Willing to learn a qualification.
• Commitment to complete a childcare qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support educators to deliver high standard of care and curriculum, including SEN requirements.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Support nursery staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Work with children aged 0–5, supporting daily care, wellbeing and development.
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities and play based on individual needs.
• Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Work with the EYFS requirements.
• Engage in training and meetings to progress in the setting.
• Follow setting policies and procedures and participate in team meetings.
• Liaise with external agencies as appropriate.
• Assist the Setting Manager with staffing, budgets and targets.
