Job summary

Gamesley Primary School is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team for the coming academic year. You will support young learners with phonics, routines, and play-based learning in a warm, nurturing environment.

This fixed-term, term-time role offers a pro-active, collaborative team culture and opportunities for professional development as our children start their school journey. The salary reflects SCP 5-6, with an actual annual salary of £15,705–£15,954.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• An enthusiastic practitioner who brings energy, creativity, and joy into the classroom and outdoor learning spaces.
• Someone who understands that positive relationships with parents and carers are key and will invest time in getting to know our lovely community.
