Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education or a related subject is preferred.
• Previous experience in an Early Years, school, nursery or educational setting is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and patient approach.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with learning, development and day-to-day needs within the Early Years setting.
• Encouraging independence and helping children develop communication, social and self-management skills.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support as required
• Supporting children to engage positively in activities and learning
• Building positive relationships with children, staff and families
• Helping create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Following safeguarding and confidentiality policies.
