Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Qualified Practitioner to join our client primary school in Gosport.

About the Role

We are seeking an Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work across Reception and Year 1, supporting children both one-on-one and in small groups. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to make a significant difference to children who need extra support to reach their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children's learning and development through play, exploration, and structured activities
• Encouraging social skills, confidence, and independence in a warm, supportive environment
• Helping establish routines that foster a calm, positive learning atmosphere
• Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum
• Observing, recording, and contributing to assessments of children's progress
• Providing additional support to ensure all children feel included and valued
• Assisting with personal care, prioritizing children's well-being
• Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

We would love to hear from candidates who:

• Possess a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (desirable but not essential)
• Have experience working in an early years setting
• Are committed to safeguarding children and ensuring a secure environment
• Have a caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach, along with a good sense of humor
• Understand the EYFS framework and child development
• Communicate effectively and work well in a team
• Possess good English, Maths, and IT skills

The Details

Position: Level 2 or 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner (Qualification desired but not essential)
