Early Years & Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Assistant - SN1

Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and supporting children in their early learning journey? Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking two enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming school community. You will help children with additional needs thrive in a nature-focused environment that emphasizes well-being. This is a fixed-term, full-time role initially lasting one year.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing support to children with additional needs, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Creating a positive classroom environment where all children can succeed.
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy, and emotional development through structured activities.
  • Assisting with behavior management to maintain a safe, nurturing space.
  • Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Encouraging outdoor and nature-based learning as part of a holistic curriculum.

About You

  • Ability to perform the described duties.
  • Passion for early years and primary education with a nurturing, patient approach.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs (desired but not essential).
  • Love for nature and outdoor learning, embracing a creative, hands-on teaching style.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaboration with staff and families.
