Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is recruiting four experienced Inclusion Mentors to join the Early Years Inclusion and SEND team. The role focuses on mentoring and capacity-building with early years settings to improve inclusive practice for learners with cognition and learning needs, EAL, and social, emotional, and mental health support.

Successful candidates will work with schools to strengthen SEND provision, support staff development, and deliver evidence-based strategies within the public

Qualifications

• You will hold a recognised qualification relevant to the role, equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above.
• Recent successful experience as a teaching assistant or similar role with pupils facing barriers to learning, ideally in early years.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach staff in early years settings to strengthen inclusive practice.
• Provide practical advice on strategies and resources within ordinarily available provision.
• Capac ity-building work with early years settings and schools staff to strengthen SEND support.
