Job summary

Leicestershire County Council invites applications for an experienced Early Years Improvement Advisor to drive high quality provision across childcare settings. You will provide advice, training and guidance on EYFS, SEND, and safeguarding, work with providers and partners, and travel across Leicestershire with occasional out-of-hours work as required.

This permanent role requires a Level 6 qualification and strong collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 6 qualification with outstanding early years practice.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and SEND code of practice.
• Experience observing, evaluating and providing feedback on learning.
• Experience in staff development and training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support high quality early years provision across the childcare sector.
• Provide advice, guidance and training on EYFS, SEND and safeguarding.
• Lead strategies to implement EYFS principles and work with providers and partners.
• Travel across Leicestershire and work flexibly including out-of-hours when needed.
