Job summary

Bright Horizons Clairmont in Wilmslow is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for children, families and colleagues. You will manage daily laundry, uphold hygiene standards in bathrooms and nappies, and assist with mealtimes and equipment cleaning as needed.

Ideal candidates will have cleaning experience, Food Safety Level 2 or above, COSHH knowledge and strong communication skills with staff, children and parents. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property.
• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above.
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements.
• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues and families.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas.
• Carry out daily laundry as required.
• Help with additional nursery tasks such as supporting mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

The Role

As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property


• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post


• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements


• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
