Job summary

Millbrook Primary School & Nursery is seeking an Early Years Educator to join our Outstanding Nursery team. You will be a key worker for 2-year-olds and rising 3-year-olds, delivering high-quality learning through play and interaction.

The role requires enthusiasm, patience, and strong communication with children and families. A Level 3 childcare qualification and safeguarding commitment are essential, with term-time, permanent contract and a 30-hour week.

Qualifications

• A Level 3+ qualification in Early Years or childcare is desirable.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key worker for a small group of 2-year-olds and/or rising 3-year-olds.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences through play and interaction.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with the EYFS.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues to support children's development and wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
• Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, intimate care, and transitions.
• Contribute to planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
