Job summary

Newdigate Primary School & Nursery is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join the EYFS team from 1 September. The role involves supporting teaching and care across the school nursery and early years, in a vibrant, play-based environment.

The successful candidate will be energetic, reliable and capable of building strong relationships with children, families and staff. This is a term-time role with inset days, 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare or relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (meets Government EY qualification checker).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of needs.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the EYFS and nursery.
• Carry out tasks to provide high-quality care, guidance and supervision to pupils.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to support learning and development.
