Job summary

Newdigate Primary School & Nursery is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Educator to join the EYFS team from 1 September. The role involves supporting teaching and learning across the early years phase, including the school nursery, with a warm, enthusiastic and well-organised approach.

You will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality care, guidance and supervision, promoting hands-on, play-based learning and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Childcare or Level 3 Early Years qualification meeting Government requirements.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Monday - Friday 08:30-15.30 (32.5 hours per week, term time only plus inset days, 39 weeks)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual who enjoys working with young children and values building meaningful relationships. We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, creativity and a caring approach to their work. We are seeking to appoint a warm, enthusiastic and well-organised Early Years Educator to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) from 1 September. The successful applicant will work across our early years phase including our school nursery.

The Role

Person Specification

Essential:

• Level 3 Childcare or relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification that meets the requirements of the Government’s Early Years qualification checker.

• A positive, proactive and caring attitude
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to support pupils with a range of needs
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in an early years or school setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or primary curriculum
• Experience supporting children with additional needs
