Bright Little Stars Ltd. in London is offering an Early Years apprenticeship designed to give real workplace experience and professional development while supporting children’s learning.

You will welcome children, assist with play, prepare activities, and help with personal care, safeguarding, and daily routines as part of our Early Years team. The programme leads to Level 3 Early Years Educator after training, with two working-week options and a 1-year duration, through Hawk Management (UK)

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and parents.
• Attention to detail essential for observations and keeping records.
• Good organisational skills to manage activities and safe environments.
• Customer care mindset to support children and families with warmth.
• Problem solving to adapt activities for different needs and abilities.
• Team working within the Early Years setting and with mentors.
• Creativity to plan engaging and varied learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Welcome children and help them settle into the setting
• Support children during play and learning activities
• Set up age-appropriate games, activities and resources
• Encourage children’s communication, confidence and social skills
• Support indoor and outdoor play
• Help with creative activities such as painting, music and messy play
• Assist with snack and mealtimes
• Support children with personal care and hygiene routines
• Supervise children and help maintain a safe environment
• Observe children and share information about their development with colleagues
• Help keep rooms, equipment and resources clean and organised
• Work as part of the Early Years team
• Communicate appropriately with parents, carers and colleagues
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and setting procedures
• Complete training, observations and apprenticeship learning as part of the working day
