Job summary

GEMS Nursery Ltd Newcastle Upon Tyne is seeking an Early Years Educator Apprentice to join a friendly team. You will study towards a Level 3 qualification while gaining hands-on experience with children.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm (30 hours per week), term-time only, with flexible part-time arrangements considered. Successful apprentices may progress to roles such as Early Years Educator or Room Leader.

Qualifications

• Hands-on childcare support during learning activities.

• Develop observation skills to track children's progress.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through play-based activities.
• Help plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.
• Observe and record children's progress.
• Assist with children's personal care routines.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
• Prepare resources and help maintain learning environments.
• Attend training sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework.
