Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
• Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support child development.
• Drive initiatives that encourage children's curiosity, creativity, and social skills through play-based learning.
• Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents regarding their development.
• Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided in the nursery.
• Maintain accurate records of children's achievements and milestones as part of their learning journey.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
• A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Ideally a Montessori qualification or knowledge of the Montessori ethos
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both children and colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
• A genuine passion for early years education, demonstrating commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.
