Job summary

Ripple Education in Peterlee is seeking qualified Early Years Educators to provide high-quality care and learning across nurseries and settings in the North East.

You’ll plan age-appropriate activities, observe children's development, support wellbeing, and work with teams while following safeguarding procedures. Flexible and long-term placements are available, with weekly pay, training access, and a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• An Early Years qualification meeting the approved full and relevant criteria.
• Experience working with children in Early Years or nursery settings.
• Strong passion for helping young children learn, develop and thrive.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Solid safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to build warm, positive relationships with children and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, learning and support for young children.
• Support children’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Observe and monitor children’s development and progress.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive Early Years environment.
• Assist with personal and intimate care where required.
• Collaborate with nursery and Early Years teams and adhere to safeguarding procedures.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

• An Early Years qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for inclusion within staff-to-child ratios
• Experience working with children in an Early Years or nursery setting
• A genuine passion for helping young children learn, develop and thrive
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding
• The ability to build warm, positive relationships with children and colleagues
• A flexible and proactive approach to working in different settings

The role

Depending on the placement, you may:

• Provide high-quality care, learning and support for young children
• Support children’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning and play activities
• Observe and support children’s individual development
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive Early Years environment
• Support children with personal and intimate care where required
• Work collaboratively with nursery and Early Years teams
• Follow the setting and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times
