Job summary

Ripple Education is recruiting Early Years Educators to work in Sunderland and surrounding areas. You will provide high-quality care, learning and play activities for young children, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding best practices.

Qualifications

• An Early Years qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for inclusion within staff-to-child ratios.
• Experience working with children in an Early Years or nursery setting.
• A genuine passion for helping young children learn, develop and thrive.
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• The ability to build warm, positive relationships with children and colleagues.
• A flexible and proactive approach to working in different settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, learning and support for young children.
• Support children’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Observe and support children’s individual development.
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive Early Years environment.
• Support children with personal and intimate care where required.
• Work collaboratively with nursery and Early Years teams.
• Follow the setting and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times.
