All Saints Stibbard Church of England Primary Academy and Nursery seeks an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to support Nursery children and collaborate with the manager and team to deliver a suitable activity programme while caring for the children's personal needs.

The role includes acting as a key worker for a small group, recording development with the online journal Tapestry, and involving parents in progress. Hours are 9.00 am–3.30 pm, Tue–Fri during term time plus one week.

Qualifications

  • Early years qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
  • Experience in Nursery or early years classroom.
  • Love of the outdoors and activity-based learning.
  • Awareness of the Foundation Stage curriculum and experience using Tapestry.
  • Calm, flexible in approach and a team player.
  • Willing to undertake training and attend meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Support Nursery children and assist in delivering a suitable activities programme.
  • Work with the manager and room supervisor to support children's needs and development.
  • Act as a key worker for a small group of children and record progress.
  • Engage parents/carers in their child’s progress and development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Stibbard All Saints Primary School and Nursery. The position includes supporting the children attending the Nursery setting and working with the manager, deputy manager and room supervisor to deliver a suitable programme of activities, as well as caring for the children’s personal needs. The role will also include acting as a key worker for a small number of children and compiling a record of their development as well as involving parents/carers in their child’s progress. The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and be able to use their initiative to support the children’s needs and form positive and supportive relationships with them.

The Nursery setting also provides before and after school care for the Nursery and school aged children. The working hours for the role will be from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm, Tuesday to Friday during school term time.

  • You have a suitable early years or childcare qualification (NVQ level 2 or equivalent)
  • You have experience of working in an early years setting, either a Nursery or within an early year’s classroom
  • You have a love of the outdoors
  • You have an awareness of the Foundation Stage curriculum and experience of using the online journal, Tapestry
  • You are calm and flexible in your approach to children and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • You are willing to undertake training as required for the role, attend meetings and contribute to the positive ethos of our school.
Working Hours:

Working hours for this role is 9.00 am to 3.30 pm, Tuesday to Friday.
