Job summary

You'll work alongside experienced staff, observe progress, support daily routines, and contribute to safeguarding and inclusive practice. Relevant qualifications and DBS checks may be required; training offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in nursery, preschool, childcare or school settings.
• Warm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting early development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 0–4 years with learning and development.
• Assist in delivering engaging activities promoting learning through play.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Support daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, and outdoor play.
• Observe and monitor children's progress, reporting observations to senior staff.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
