Job summary

Teach South is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to support 3–4 year olds in a welcoming primary school setting in Hailsham, East Sussex. The role is aligned with EYFS and offers Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

You’ll work closely with the Early Years team and class teacher to deliver high-quality, play-based learning, observe children’s progress, and contribute to assessments, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that helps each child build confidence and curiosity.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience with young children in nursery or school.
• Strong understanding of EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 3–4 years in their learning and development.
• Deliver high-quality play-based learning in line with EYFS.
• Work with the class teacher and Early Years team to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, communication and social development.
• Observe and record progress, contributing to assessments where appropriate.

Location: Hailsham, East Sussex

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Salary: £85–£95 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a passionate Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school-based nursery in Hailsham. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing Early Years team, helping children to develop their confidence, curiosity and love of learning in a safe and stimulating environment.

The Role

• Support children aged 3–4 years in their learning and development.
