Job summary

Kindred Nurseries in Northampton is seeking an Early Years Assistant to support our nursery team. You’ll help create a warm, safe environment where children learn through play and daily routines while developing your own skills.

You’ll assist with activities, build relationships with children and families, support daily routines and safeguarding, and help maintain a welcoming nursery. This part-time role offers structured hours and a collaborative team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery team to provide a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment for every child.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn through play.
• Assist in delivering engaging activities that encourage children's curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support children's daily routines, helping them feel happy, safe and secure.
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment.
• Observe and celebrate children's achievements, supporting their learning and development.
• Follow Kindred's policies and procedures, promoting safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and nursery events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care and education.
