Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an Early Years Assistant to help provide a warm, secure, home-from-home environment for every child at our nursery. You’ll support daily routines, assist with activities and build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

We value a caring, positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Prior early years experience is desirable; opportunities for training and career development are available in a supportive, structured setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery team to provide a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment for every child.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn through play.
• Assist in delivering engaging activities that encourage children’s curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support children’s daily routines, helping them feel happy, safe and secure.
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment.
• Observe and celebrate children’s achievements, supporting their learning and development.
• Follow Kindred’s policies and procedures, promoting safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and nursery events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care and education.
