Job summary

Bright Horizons Harpenden Central Day Nursery and Preschool in Harpenden is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our team. Full-time, Monday to Friday, you will help look after babies and children up to age 5, supporting their development through interactive play and reading.

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar

You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds - supporting colleagues with each child's development towards their key milestones.

Salary: Starting from £27,580.80 per annum, dependent on qualification/s and experience

We're looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Harpenden Central nursery, situated situated in Harpenden town centre, with excellent public transport links and parking close by. The nursery is a beautiful 57-place setting, proudly rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
