Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool is looking for an Early Years Assistant to join a supportive team on site in Cambridge. You will care for babies and children up to age five, guiding play, reading, and activities to spark curiosity and development.

You’ll work with colleagues to build trust with families and help each child reach milestones, with pre-employment checks and safeguarding in place.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

Responsibilities

• As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5
• You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones
