Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Wakefield is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to support children across EYFS and Reception in our partner primary schools. The role offers day-to-day or long-term work with an immediate start, paying £140-£170 per day, with PAYE payroll to ensure correct tax and NI.

You will deliver engaging lessons, support phonics and guided reading, and plan activities in line with EYFS. A PGCE with QTS is required, along with experience in UK primary schools and SEND

Qualifications

• PGCE with QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in Early Years / EYFS and Reception in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, phonics and guided reading.
• Experience adapting teaching to support children with SEND.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Positive, patient and enthusiastic approach to early childhood development.

Responsibilities

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £140 - 170 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream primary schools based in and around the Wakefield area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Teacher to support children across Early Years / EYFS and Reception. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment where children with a range of abilities and additional learning needs are supported to develop their confidence, independence and early learning skills.

The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher for day-to-day or long-term work, with an immediate start available. The successful Early Years Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons, supporting phonics and guided reading development, planning activities in line with the EYFS framework and adapting learning to meet SEND needs.

The successful Early Years Teacher will have:

A PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status / QTS

Experience teaching within Early Years / EYFS and Reception in a UK primary school

Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, phonics and guided reading

Experience adapting teaching and learning to support children with SEND

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting early childhood development
