Worcestershire County Council is seeking a Learning and Teaching Adviser with a strong focus on Early Years and phonics. The role involves coaching, advisory support, and CPD delivery to strengthen quality teaching in EYFS across schools.

The successful candidate will contribute to improving provision and curriculum while supporting disadvantaged learners and transitions to Year 1. A flexible arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualificações

• Specialist skills and knowledge in early years practice and phonics.
• Some experience of transition into Year 1 would be beneficial.
• Understanding of barriers to learning for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Ability to design and deliver CPD and briefing sessions on EYFS developments.
• Role may be shared or seconded for the right candidate.

Salary : £34,587 - £37,617 per annum
Temporary Position 4 days a week - 2 Year contract
We are seeking to appoint Learning and Teaching Adviser who has specialist skills and knowledge in early years practice and phonics. Some experience of transition into Year 1 would also be beneficial. Prospective candidates will be experienced, skilled and committed to school effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a well-developed understanding of barriers to learning for children from disadvantaged backgrounds The role will include supporting the delivery of the Best Start in Life project as well as supporting schools with improving provision, environment design, and curriculum. The role also includes designing and delivering CPD and briefing sessions on the latest EYFS developments. The role could be 1 person or split across 2 individuals depending on their strengths. A secondment arrangement for the right candidate could also be considered. Individuals will have the ability to develop and deliver highly effective support to a range of education settings in order achieve better outcomes for children and young people within Worcestershire, as described in our Education and Skills Strategy.
