Job summary

ARC Group in Tamworth is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a leading logistics operation. The role features an early start and a straightforward palletised route, ideal for a professional, reliable driver seeking long-term, stable work.

Responsibilities include paperwork and vehicle checks, safe and timely deliveries, and occasional collections or ad hoc duties. Immediate starts and potential for permanent placement are on offer with excellent earning potential and overtime

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR/IN/CD endorsements.
• Able to perform manual handling; reliable and independent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised goods to destinations to a high standard.
• Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle checks accurately.
• Ensure deliveries are made safely, professionally and on time.
• Occasionally undertake collections from alternative sites as required.
• Be flexible for additional shifts when workload requires.

Class 1 Driver Required - Immediate Start Available

We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a leading logistics operation based in Tamworth.

Offering a consistent early morning start time and a straightforward delivery route, this role would suit a professional and reliable driver looking for long-term, stable work.

The Role

• Monday to Friday shift pattern with a (Apply online only)start.
• Deliveries consist of palletised goods.
• two hour allowance for tipping
• Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and vehicle checks.
• Ensure all deliveries are made safely, professionally, and on time.
• In addition to the regular route, drivers may occasionally be required to:
• Complete collections from alternative sites
• Undertake other ad hoc transport duties as required by the business.
• Work an additional sixth shift on occasion, depending on workload and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• No DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• Comfortable carrying out some manual handling duties.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Flexible approach to duties and routes when required.
