Aligra Personnel Ltd is seeking an HGV 2 Refuse Driver for Reading. The role offers a fixed early start, 6:00 am, Monday to Friday, with a guaranteed 8-hour shift and a competitive hourly rate of £17.72, roughly £709 weekly.

This temp-to-perm position welcomes newly qualified or experienced drivers. You will operate an HGV 2 vehicle to collect refuse in the Reading area, work with a small team, and enjoy weekends free.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV 2 licence with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to start at 6 am, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating an HGV 2 vehicle to collect refuse across designated routes in Reading.
• Work with your team to meet daily targets and safety standards.
• Load and unload waste efficiently while following health and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report any vehicle defects or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with the public and colleagues.
• Follow established waste management procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Assist with training and supporting less experienced team members where needed.
