AMA Admin is seeking an Early Reading Intervention Assistant for a Teeside-based primary school. The role focuses on delivering Read Write Inc. phonics sessions and supporting Year 1 and Year 2 pupils to improve reading confidence.

We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Reading Intervention Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Teeside, helping pupils develop essential early literacy skills.
As an Early Reading Intervention Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting children who need extra help to develop their phonics knowledge and reading confidence.
You will:
Deliver targeted catch-up sessions using the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme.
Support Year 1 pupils at risk of not meeting the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check.
Work with Year 2 pupils who are required to resit the phonics assessment.
Track and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to class teachers and the phonics lead.
Create a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels motivated to succeed.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience delivering or supporting the Read Write Inc. phonics programme.
A solid understanding of early reading development and phonics instruction.
Experience working with KS1 pupils in small groups or one-to-one.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
