Job summary

AMA Admin is seeking an Early Reading Intervention Assistant for a Darlington school to support KS1 pupils with Read Write Inc. phonics, delivering targeted catch-up sessions and helping children reach reading goals.

You will work with Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, track progress, and provide feedback to teachers in a nurturing environment. Term-time only, with roles available full-time or part-time starting September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering or supporting the Read Write Inc. phonics programme.
• A solid understanding of early reading development and phonics instruction.
• Experience working with KS1 pupils in small groups or one-to-one.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to learning.

Responsibilities
