Job summary

Semester.co.uk is recruiting an Early Help Support Worker to join the EHASH team in Rochdale, covering sickness absence. You will triage, screen, contact families and professionals, and carry out home visits as required to support timely referrals to Children's Social Care or Early Help services.

Applicants should understand services for vulnerable children and families, have experience with complex needs, and possess strong communication and assessment skills.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an Early Help Support Worker to join the EHASH team in Rochdale, covering sickness absence. EHASH is the front door for referrals for children and families across Rochdale, a multi-agency team comprising social workers, referral information coordinators, early help workers, managers and partner agencies.

You will complete triage, screening and information-gathering within set timescales, contacting parents, carers, children and professionals, and carrying out home visits as required. The role involves providing advice on early help support, identifying safeguarding concerns, and ensuring timely referrals to Children's Social Care or Early Help services where needed. You will also complete Early Help assessments and risk assessments, and maintain accurate, high-quality case records that support clear recommendations on outcomes.

Candidates should have a sound understanding of services supporting vulnerable children and families, experience working with families with complex needs, and strong communication and assessment skills.
