Job summary

Semester.co.uk is recruiting an Early Help Support Worker to join the EHASH team in Rochdale, covering sickness absence. You will triage, screen, contact families and professionals, and carry out home visits as required to support timely referrals to Children's Social Care or Early Help services.

Applicants should understand services for vulnerable children and families, have experience with complex needs, and possess strong communication and assessment skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with triage, screening and information gathering.
• Strong communication and assessment skills when dealing with families and professionals.
• Sound understanding of services supporting vulnerable children and families.

Responsibilities

• Complete triage, screening and information gathering within set timescales.
• Contact parents, carers, children and professionals, and carry out home visits as required.
• Provide advice on early help support and identify safeguarding concerns.
• Ensure timely referrals to Children's Social Care or Early Help services.
• Complete Early Help assessments and risk assessments and maintain accurate case records.
