Job summary

Colton Hills is seeking a committed Early Help Prevention Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our safeguarding and inclusion team in Wolverhampton. You will lead Early Help Assessments, coordinate support for vulnerable students and families, and ensure safeguarding concerns are identified and responded to effectively. Fixed term for 12 months.

37 hours per week, 46.5 weeks per year (Term Time + 10 days). Start date 1 December 2026, end date 30 November 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and completing early help assessments.
• Experience working in a multi-agency environment.
• Knowledge of Wolverhampton MASH and safeguarding processes.
• Willingness to undertake further training.

Responsibilities

• Lead Early Help Assessments and coordinate support for vulnerable students and families.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns in collaboration with staff and external agencies.
• Contribute to a strong safeguarding culture across the school.
