Job summary

Colton Hills Community School, situated south of Wolverhampton city centre, seeks a Designated Safeguarding Lead to manage safeguarding across the school and liaise with external agencies.

You will lead on policy implementation, staff training and DBS checks, acting as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safeguarding in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to collaborate with students, staff, governors and external agencies.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)/Safeguarding Officer (Maternity Leave)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We seek to appoint a passionate, committed, experienced individual to lead on all aspects of safeguarding within the school. Working with students, staff, SLT, Governors and relevant outside agencies acting as a source of support, advice and expertise with the school. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will play a key role in supporting and ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
