South Gloucestershire Council invites applications for a Best Start Family Hub worker. You will deliver universal and targeted services to families with babies and young children across Family Hubs, Children’s Centres and community venues.

You will provide early help, practical support and signposting, while building resilience and collaborating with partners. You will work under supervision, support families with parenting, health, housing and safeguarding matters, and maintain accurate

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, or working towards an appropriate qualification.
• Experience working directly with children, young people or families needing extra support.
• Compassionate, strengths-based approach with sound judgement and practical problem-solving.
• Confident communicator with ability to build positive relationships with families and partners.
• Good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and ability to identify concerns.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and using IT systems; able to learn new software.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver hub-based, outreach, group and 1:1 support for families.
• Provide information, advice and signposting on health, welfare, debt, housing and related services.
• Build partnerships and referral pathways with local services and organisations.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate them following procedures.
• Maintain records, monitor progress and promote Family Hub services across communities.
