Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an Early Careers Recruitment Coordinator to join our HR team in London.

The HR team at A&O Shearman provides a first-class service to the business, offering strategic HR advice and support services in various HR functions.

This role is key to the smooth running of our early careers recruitment programs and future talent acquisition. It provides administrative and client-facing support to the Early Careers team, responsible for hiring 80-90 trainees annually, delivering early identification pathways, and contributing to the firm's inclusion strategy. The role will help evolve our programs to remain market leading.

Role and responsibilities

• Providing operational support to the Early Careers Recruitment team.
• Handling recruitment queries from candidates and Partners, coordinating with the Belfast HR team.
• Supporting inclusion initiatives, early intervention programs, and external partnerships.
• Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Collaborating with the Race & Ethnicity committee on diversity schemes.
• Representing the firm at student events and career fairs.
• Managing university relationships and social media promotion.
• Organizing assessment centers and supporting online screening.
• Supporting early careers projects.

Person specification

• Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
• Attention to detail and flexibility, including travel and outside hours.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Comfort with technology and working under tight deadlines.
• Proactive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

Experience/skills required

• Previous recruitment experience, preferably in professional services.
