Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking an organised, empathetic coordinator to support Apprentices, Graduates and Construction Development Programme trainees across Asset Operations at our site in Eakring, Nottinghamshire. The role focuses on keeping delivery on track and ensuring accurate data and monthly insights.

You will build relationships, coordinate recruitment, onboarding, reviews, training and events, and transform data into clear reports using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent practical experience in programme coordination, data and reporting, HR, learning and development, or related field.
• Strong Excel and SharePoint skills, plus Power BI or a similar reporting tool.
• Experience coordinating programmes and confidently managing data, trackers and reports.
• Natural ability to connect with people with empathy and professionalism.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with ownership and prioritisation.
• Travel to Eakring, Nottinghamshire NG22 0DA (approximately 45 minutes).

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with trainees, offering empathetic, discreet support and escalating sensitive issues appropriately.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, reviews, training and events to keep the programme moving.
• Own accurate, audit-ready programme data, trackers and version control; tackle data-quality issues.
• Turn data into clear monthly reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI; keep SharePoint content current.
• Stay ahead of deadlines, actions and risks, and deputise for AO Apprentice Line Manager when needed.
