Job Description:

Our Talent and Development team are seeking an Early Careers Advisor – Recruitment Specialist (FTC) to develop and deliver key aspects of our early careers attraction, selection, recruitment, and onboarding processes. The role also involves overseeing elements of development programmes to ensure a first-class experience for trainees and apprentices.

About the Role
  1. Deliver the full early careers recruitment lifecycle aligned with business needs and strategy, including Graduate, Undergraduate, Year in Industry placements, and Higher Apprenticeship programmes.
  2. Collaborate with external recruitment partners to develop and implement processes for our annual Trainee campaign, focusing on attraction, sourcing, assessment, diversity, and social mobility.
  3. Work with the internal brand manager to design advertising and social media campaigns, promote programmes through diverse channels, and participate in emerging talent and diversity events.
  4. Manage high-volume remote assessment centres, ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  5. Build stakeholder relationships and support assessors in hiring decisions, engaging them throughout the recruitment process.
  6. Deliver onboarding activities, including networking events and Trainee Inductions (face-to-face).
  7. Represent the Wates Trainee landscape with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, a team player, with proven experience in end-to-end early careers recruitment. You should have background in graduate recruitment, early careers, or talent acquisition, with extensive experience managing assessment centres. Strong relationship-building, communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential. The role requires managing high-volume assessment centres, supplier engagement, and excellent organisational skills. A data-driven approach and ability to prioritize are key. Willingness to travel nationally, including to Leatherhead, is required.
