Hays Education has recently seen an increased need for local Special Educational Needs Teachers in Schools across Northamptonshire for day-to-day and long-term supply, with the potential for permanent contracts.

Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Northamptonshire, covering areas such as Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley, and surrounding areas. This means as a Teacher working through Hays, you will have local work in your area, covering schools you prefer.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) Secondary School in Towcester for young people aged 11-18 with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties who have not been able to settle into mainstream provision. The school is growing, currently with over 63 students. It features a vocational hub and follows the National Curriculum, allowing students to develop skills in areas such as Motor Vehicle Studies, Construction, Hair and Beauty, and Engineering.

Your new role

We are recruiting a full-time Special Educational Needs Teacher to join the team ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis. We seek exceptional individuals who thrive in challenging environments to work with our school's pupils.

We value passionate professionals committed to supporting social, life, and independence skills development, aiming to make a positive difference in young people's lives. You will build trusting relationships, motivate students, and provide individual attention and reassurance to support their learning and living tasks.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a confident teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. We welcome experienced teachers and ECTs who are comfortable working with children and young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. Graduates with relevant degrees and experience working with children are also encouraged to apply.

**Please note we are unable to support overseas applications for these roles.**

What you'll get in return

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and rewarding environment with excellent students.
