Yü Group is seeking an Early Arrears Advisor in Leicester, fully office-based, reporting to the Early Arrears Manager. The role focuses on negotiating with commercial customers to recover overdue debts, while building relationships and delivering results.

The position requires strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with a customer-focused mindset and targeted performance. An energy industry background is advantageous.

Location: Leicester LE3 - Fully office-based role

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

What We Need from Yü

• Negotiating with customers: You'll work with commercial customers to resolve overdue debts while maintaining positive, professional relationships.
• Developing payment solutions: By understanding customers’ financial situations, you’ll help negotiate sustainable payment arrangements that suit their needs and circumstances.
• Managing the debt recovery process: Efficiently progressing debt cases through the treatment paths, accelerating higher-risk cases, and ensuring issues are resolved quickly to prevent further delays.
• Collaborating with teams: You'll work closely with both internal and external teams to maintain a unified, efficient approach.
• Providing performance updates: Prepare accurate management information to report on your individual performance and success.

• Strong Negotiation Skills: You’re a natural at negotiating win-win solutions and are adept at managing sensitive conversations with tact and diplomacy.
• Previous Experience: While experience as a Credit Controller or Collections Advisor is beneficial, we're open to individuals with strong negotiation skills and customer service backgrounds.
• Energy Industry Knowledge: Experience in the energy industry is a bonus but not essential. What matters most is your ability to understand and resolve financial issues effectively.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You must be an excellent communicator, able to build rapport and work well with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical Mindset: You have a keen eye for detail and are naturally curious, using your analytical skills to find solutions and improve processes.
