A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is looking to appoint a dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will work closely with students for whom English is not their first language, providing both in-class support and focused intervention sessions to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and improve fluency in spoken and written English.
Supporting EAL students across a range of subjects in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Delivering small group or one-to-one English language interventions
Working with teaching staff to adapt resources and support inclusive learning
Assisting students in developing communication, reading, and writing skills
Encouraging progress and helping pupils integrate confidently into school life
Location: Levenshulme, Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, full academic year
Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Ideal for: Graduates with linguistics, English, TESOL/TEFL backgrounds or those with EAL experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
