EAL Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Levenshulme – September Start – £89–£100 per Day

Are you passionate about supporting students who are developing their English language skills? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds?

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is looking to appoint a dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will work closely with students for whom English is not their first language, providing both in-class support and focused intervention sessions to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and improve fluency in spoken and written English.

  • Supporting EAL students across a range of subjects in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Delivering small group or one-to-one English language interventions

  • Working with teaching staff to adapt resources and support inclusive learning

  • Assisting students in developing communication, reading, and writing skills

  • Encouraging progress and helping pupils integrate confidently into school life

  • Location: Levenshulme, Manchester

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract: Full-time, full academic year

  • Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

  • Ideal for: Graduates with linguistics, English, TESOL/TEFL backgrounds or those with EAL experience
