Learning Support Assistant, Wakefield

Full time - Term time only

We are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work in a Secondary School in Wakefield. The role involves supporting students on a small group and 1:1 basis within the school's Specialist Learning Centre and main classrooms.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting older children or young people requiring EAL or SEND support in an educational environment. The role of an LSA can be extremely rewarding; successful applicants should be positive, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with young people. You will work together to break down barriers to learning and communicate confidently with parents, guardians, and colleagues.

Role details:

• Temporary, part-time or full-time positions available, depending on your preference
• Working term time only, Monday to Friday

The successful applicant will:

• Have recent experience supporting young people in an educational setting
• Be willing to work across various schools in the Wakefield area
• Adhere to school policies and procedures and follow guidance from senior staff
