Joining the Stores team, the Stores Operative, reporting directly to Stores Team Leader, will play an essential role in the Production – Shopfloor department to drive profitable and sustainable growth, whilst upholding company values.

About the role of Stores Operative

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records in our MRP system.
• Receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries.
• Assisting in stock audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Coordinating with the Purchasing Manager to ensure timely ordering of goods.
• Preparing stock orders based on demand forecasts and reorder points.
• Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Reporting stock-related issues or discrepancies to management.
• Picking customer and manufacturing orders, including stock movements between locations.
• Assisting in the preparation of customer orders.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior experience in a warehouse role is a plus.
• Forklift license (training can be provided if needed).
