Job Purpose
Enable data-driven decision-making by acting as a strategic bridge between business and data teams—translating business needs into clear technical requirements and ensuring the delivery of scalable data solutions supporting Bauer Media Audio’s strategic goals across nine European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Commercial, Digital, Finance, and local market teams to understand business objectives, challenges, and data needs.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions to gather, define, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into structured data and reporting specifications for data engineering and analyst teams.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists to co-deliver dashboards, reports, and other data products.
- Ensure data solutions are aligned with business goals, operational processes, and end-user expectations.
- Support the development and stewardship of consistent KPIs, metrics, and data definitions across markets.
- Encourage stakeholder feedback and contribute to iterative improvements of data tools and solutions.
- Prioritize and manage incoming data requests based on urgency, business impact, and strategic alignment.
- Produce clear documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, process maps, and data glossaries.
- Participate in testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for newly developed solutions.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in media, digital, or advertising sectors.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with data-focused teams such as analytics, BI, and engineering.
- Working knowledge of SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to collaborate effectively.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; capable of engaging stakeholders and supporting cross-functional alignment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital media, audio advertising, or publishing environments.
- Familiarity with multi-market or matrixed organizational structures.
- Understanding of data product development lifecycles and KPI governance.
