Sales Director - Biotechnology - Oxford

A growing biotech in Oxfordshire is looking to hire their first Sales Director to drive the company's commercial goals forward.

This biotechnology company has developed several novel instruments and technologies that aim to significantly improve efficiency, accuracy, and performance within biomedicine. After perfecting this technology, they are now searching for a sales director to join the team and help them hit their commercial goals and to develop new sales strategies.

As the sales director, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of sales strategies to establish and expand the company's presence in the market, globally. You will also be building and managing the company's distribution network across several territories.

Initially, you will report directly to the CEO, with the potential for this role to evolve into a C-suite position based on your success. There is also scope to recruit, build, and lead a sales team across Europe and the US.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  1. Experience with scientific instrumentation and systems sales, ideally within cell biology.
  2. A degree in a life sciences subject, coupled with an understanding of strategic and relationship selling approaches.
  3. Experience managing distributors would be beneficial but is not essential.
