Applications Support Engineer – Hybrid Working – Manchester.

Salary: £40k to 48k plus 30% (paid at 97% last year) – 10% non-contrib pension and a range of other benefits.

We are seeking an Applications Support Engineer to work for a critical infrastructure client based in the North West of England.

The role involves providing BAU support on tickets at a 3rd line level, combined with project-based work. The team values autonomy and trust, allowing you to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing 3rd line application support, managing incidents and escalations to resolution.
• Proactively supporting and maintaining the application landscape.
• Supporting internal projects through technical design reviews and environment builds/deployments.

Ideal candidate experience:

• Managing Windows Server, IIS, and Active Directory Services.
• Knowledge of T-SQL (MS SQL) and/or PL/SQL.
• Experience with minor programming or scripting (.NET / PowerShell).
• Using IT Service Management Tools (e.g., SCSM, ServiceNow).
• Effective communication with business and customers.
• Previous experience in an application support role.

Additional skills (desirable but not essential):

• Microsoft Dynamics (2012AX or 365) & Office365 administration.
