A leading care home in Bermondsey is seeking a passionate Chef to provide healthy meals and support residents with multiple needs. You will be responsible for meal planning, kitchen management, and engaging residents in meaningful activities. Location: Bermondsey, commutable via local buses, Windrush line and Jubilee Line
Shift Pattern: 30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (excluding Fridays and Saturdays unless service requires adjustments to rota) Shifts will typically be between 07:30 - 14:00
About the role
We are looking for a Chef to join our team in Aspinden Care Home to plan, prepare, and provide healthy and nutritious meals for our residents. Aspinden Care Home is a CQC registered residential care home for people with alcohol dependency and multiple needs. The home offers a harm reduction model for residents, to support them in achieving their personal goals. About you
We are looking for someone who has a passion for cooking, food and nutrition, partnered with a desire to make a real difference to people's lives. We're looking for someone with a hands on approach to their work, able to take ownership and use your own initiative to solve challenges. You will understand the marginalisation that people with multiple, complex needs face within society, and be driven to help our residents to overcome personal barriers.
