Function / Area: IT & Operations / Data & Analytics

Reporting to: AVP, Data & Analytics

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Data & Analytics Manager for our London team to establish and maintain a high-performance Data and Analytics technology framework aligned with our strategic vision. The role involves collaborating with leaders, third parties, and developers across CNA Hardy to promote best practices in the use and development of Business Insights component architecture.

The manager will drive innovation and data design changes to realize leadership's vision by coaching, advising, and empowering the organization towards data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build best practice, sustainable, and flexible data solutions.
2. Act as an expert solution partner/consultant with the business for new developments, providing both reactive and proactive strategic recommendations.
3. Engage with the US parent company to facilitate global reporting and locally aligned analytics.
4. Lead Analytics and GenAI initiatives, leveraging appropriate tools to support business strategy options from the US parent.
5. Build trust in data solutions among business leadership.
6. Establish best practices for development, e.g., conformed code, reusability of solutions.
7. Provide expertise on hardware/software marketplace solutions.
8. Act as an expert liaison and challenge data third-party providers.
9. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, implementing appropriate measures.
10. Maintain and expand the Silver Layer Medallion architecture to support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
11. Design and implement databases, including data models, schemas, access methods, and security measures.
12. Develop data solutions (integrated processes, applications, data, and technology) aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

1. Highly driven, customer-focused individual with up-to-date knowledge in Data & Analytics sector.
2. Advanced knowledge of Cloud SQL, Informatica, Tableau, Google Products (BigQuery, Composer, Vertex AI), APIs.
3. Expertise in Medallion architecture, including design and delivery of its components, aligned with ACORD standards.
4. Knowledge in in-memory solutions, appliances, event processing, cloud solutions, and data quality applications.
5. Understanding of Master Data Management and Data Governance processes and tools.
6. Proficiency in process mapping, business modeling, and logical data modeling (conceptual and physical).
7. Insurance knowledge is preferred but not essential.
8. Awareness of relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
